AI matchmaking for long-term relationships

Meet Sift.
Your AI matchmaker.

Sift gets to know you through conversation, then searches for a match in both directions. Once a week, we introduce one person—only when we believe there is a strong chance you will want to meet.

What the AI changes

More than matching filters.
A matchmaker that listens.

Sift uses AI to understand what you mean, remember what matters, and look at the full picture. That makes room for better questions and more relevant introductions.

01

Start with a conversation

Speak naturally about your life and what you want. Sift can ask useful follow-up questions instead of forcing you into a form.

02

Match the whole person

Sift considers your values, goals, lifestyle, needs, and preferences together—not as separate filters.

03

Look for mutual fit

A match only works if it works for both people. Sift considers both sides before making an introduction.

04

Know why you’re meeting

Each introduction explains what stood out, giving you useful context before you decide whether to meet.

How AI matchmaking works

From a real conversation
to one strong introduction.

The AI does the searching. You stay in control.

  1. 1

    Talk with Sift

Tell your AI matchmaker about your life, your relationship goals, and what matters to you.

  2. 2

    Set your ground rules

Review what Sift learned, set your requirements, and verify your identity before matching.

  3. 3

    Join Match Day

Tell Sift you are available. You choose whether to take part in each weekly search.

  4. 4

    Sift looks for mutual fit

The AI considers the full picture for both people. It does not rank people or loosen requirements.

  5. 5

    Get one introduction—or none

If the fit looks strong, meet one person and learn why Sift chose them. If not, we wait.

Slow by design

Matching happens weekly.
That’s the point.

If you are used to instant feeds, a weekly cadence may feel unusual. Sift slows things down so it can listen, search carefully, and make fewer, stronger introductions.

  • Opt in only when you are ready
  • Never match just to fill the week
  • Focus on one person, not a waiting feed

A different pace

Most dating apps move fast.
Sift waits for a reason.

Most dating apps

  • Deliver a constant stream of profiles
  • Match from photos and a handful of filters
  • Reward more swiping and more conversations
  • Leave you to do all the searching

The Sift approach

  • Use AI to understand the context
  • Search on a clear weekly cadence
  • Introduce someone only when the fit looks strong
  • Give one person your full attention

Questions and answers

What people ask about Sift.

How the AI works, why matching is weekly, and what happens when Sift finds someone.

What is Sift?

Sift is an AI matchmaker for verified adults who want a long-term, monogamous relationship. It gets to know you through conversation, learns what matters to you, and searches for one person we believe you have a strong chance of wanting to meet.

What does the AI matchmaker do?

Sift uses AI to understand the context behind what you tell it—not just check boxes on a profile. It considers your values, goals, lifestyle, needs, and preferences, looks for a fit that works both ways, and explains why it chose each introduction.

Why does matching happen only once a week?

Sift is slow by design. The weekly rhythm gives you time to focus and gives Sift a clear moment to search carefully. You choose whether to join each Match Day, and we never make a weak introduction just to fill the week.

Will I get a match every week?

No. Weekly is the search cadence, not a promise of a match. Sift makes an introduction only when it finds someone it believes you have a strong chance of wanting to meet—and the fit looks strong for them too.

Does AI decide who I should date?

No. Sift decides who to introduce, but you decide whether you want to talk or meet. You can review what Sift has learned, correct anything that is wrong, and keep your requirements firm.

Is everyone on Sift verified?

Yes. Everyone who takes part in matchmaking must complete identity verification. Your government ID is never shown to a match. Verification helps reduce fake accounts, but you should still use the same care you would with any new person.

What information does a match see?

A match sees only the information you approved for your introduction. Sift can use other details to look for compatibility without quoting them to another person.

Can I pause matchmaking?

Yes. You can pause while you are getting to know someone or whenever you want a break. Sift is meant to help you build a relationship, not keep you using the app.
